Funfetti Cupcakes
Box mix, made your own with a pinch of style
Sometimes we do things from scratch. Sometimes we do it the easy way and make it our own! With funfetti cupcakes, we like to use the mix, then add a pinch of our style!
Adding some of those sprinkles into the frosting itself is a nice touch - it gives a little something extra!
We don't usually use food coloring in food because most dyes aren't healthy, but this is a place we make an exception for special occasions. The color really turns these cupcakes into something more fun and unique!
How to Make It

Preheat the oven to 325°F, or whatever the box says.

Mix up your cupcake batter like normal.

Add a few drops of red food coloring and adjust to your preference.

Mix until it's a light, fluffy pink.

Spoon the batter into paper cups in a cupcake tray.

Cook as long as the box instructions say.

Take them out and let them cool.

While they're cooling, spoon some frosting into a bowl and add a few drops of food coloring and a few sprinkles.

Spread the frosting on the cooled cupcakes and lightly sprinkle with additional color sprinkles!
Ingredients
- 1 box of funfetti cupcake mix (gluten free if you need!)
- Anything required for that mix (like milk, eggs, etc.)
- Premade cream cheese frosting
- Pink or red sprinkles
- Red food coloring
